Volume 8: 2014, pp. 87-102; ABSTRACT
This paper introduces the fundamentals of critical thinking and simulation and integrates probabilistic process results for specific operations management topics. The probabilistic outputs provide opportunities for students to critically consider the uncertainty of probabilistic results in making particular decisions. Adoption of this teaching approach offers an identifiable enhancement in operations management pedagogy providing the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills.
