Global Business Strategy is a complex and multifaceted subject which is challenging to teach to undergraduate students because of their lack of real-world work experience and the requirement to adopt an international perspective in all thought processes and activities. The purpose of this article is to present a semester-long teaching approach that is based on the assumption that global strategy content and behavioural skills must be simultaneously addressed when teaching the subject. This teaching approach, which fosters student engagement when dealing with diverse, complex and competing demands of global strategy development and implementation, has been used and refined over a seven year period. It combines multiple teaching and evaluation techniques, namely case studies, multiple role plays, article critique assignments, minitests, lectures and an exam.
