Collaborative Industry Based Case Studies and Their Moderating Influence on the Development of Non Technical Skills and Student Perceptions
Glen Hutchings and Alistair M. Brown
Curtin University of Technology, Australia
Volume 4: 2009, pp. 175-192; ABSTRACT
Despite strong indications of the need for change in international business education, university departments around the globe have not, in general, developed pedagogy to challenge, stimulate and motivate their students. The results of a collaborated industry based case study suggest that academic-practitioner teaching collaborations may be an appropriate approach for challenging stereotypical views of the profession and for preparing accounting undergraduate students for the new roles professionals might play in the technology driven, global business environment.
