Volume 10: 2015, pp. 189-198; ABSTRACT
The increased popularity of portable media players has turned podcasting into a very interesting resource for college professors to distribute the contents of their subjects. This article describes the experience of the creation of podcasts by students at Master’s level based on real data from course materials. We will analyse the communicative and technological competences acquired in the process as well as the possibilities of this tool for English language teaching. Successful completion of the activities suggests that student outcomes included learning about podcasting; creation of a podcast for business purposes; self-assessment using learning intentions and success criteria; enhancement of pronunciation and giving and receiving formative feedback.
