Volume 12: 2015 pp. 169-172: ABSTRACT
The case scenario involves an employee, in a managerial capacity, stealing from her employer using a fraudulent refund scheme. The manager successfully recruits two of three young and impressionable employees under her supervision to participate in the scheme. The third employee has reservations about joining the scheme. The objectives of the case are to allow the students to take on the role of a decision-maker in a scenario involving ethical misdeeds of employees; identify and consider relevant facts of the case; delineate possible alternatives based on ethical frameworks for decision-making; make an informed decision and reflect on the outcome.
