Volume 13: 2020, pp. 103-130; ABSTRACT
In introductory Organizational Behavior (OB) courses, teaching team development and associated team-level concepts is a challenging task. To help accomplish this task, we propose a pedagogical tool based on Marvel’s The Avengers film. In this article, we introduce several sample scenes that illustrate the Five-Stage Model of team development and some other relevant team concepts. The storyline, key information about each team developmental stage, Instructor Notes, and Student Worksheet are provided to help implement this tool. This tool is highly engaging for teaching an undergraduate audience in introductory OB courses, and it complements some alternative pedagogical tools for teaching team concepts.
