Whole Foods Market responded to the New York Department of Consumer Affairs by denying any systematic attempt to underweight goods or deliberately deceive customers on bulk packaged food. They further claimed a lawsuit filed on behalf of shareholders to be “baseless and without merit”. Reputational issues have been left largely unaddressed
