On June 25, 2015, Whole Foods Market found itself embroiled in controversy when the New York Department of Consumer Affairs released a report alleging the company systematically overcharged on their packaged goods and inflated prices for the customer. This further damaged Whole Foods’ reputation as a “Whole Paycheck”, overpriced retailer that the company’s leadership must respond to.
